Word of the Week, June 14: Excitement

As we move into June and the summer months historic changes are upon us. It also means vacations for many families. That is an exciting opportunity that people will enjoy of over these next few months. You can strengthen us during these changing times with your regular attendance!

I would ask, if you are not on vacation, would you commit to worshiping every Sunday you are in town? Being together will bring stability, vitality, and help build momentum – whether you can come in person or join via technology. When we gather to worship God, we put ourselves in a place for God to use us more effectively. I hope you will be with us throughout the summer!

Last year, we were welcoming Reverend Betsy Stewart-Dooley and Organist Evan Anderson; now they are both a significant part of our church family! Soon we will welcome Dr. Sam Powers as our new Senior Pastor – I encourage you to be in worship on June 30! Take your place and help us give him a memorable first Sunday at this remarkable church!

I am truly excited about the future of Boston Avenue! We have magnificent members, super staff, and some outstanding people who will be joining the staff to continue the strong mission and ministry in which we partake! Don’t miss a single Sunday! Come enjoy the great things that are transpiring in our church family!
