Study: “All The Good: A Wesleyan Way of Christmas”
Now is a great time to start thinking about participating in an Advent study to grow in your spiritual life during this season of reflection and preparation. Boston Avenue will be offering TWO opportunities to participate in a study over the book “All The Good: A Wesleyan Way of Christmas,” by Laceye Warner, Amy Valdez Barker, Jung Choi, and Sangwoo Kim.
This book is “An Advent Study inspired by the teachings of John Wesley, the Founder of Methodism. Treasured nuggets of Methodist History and their connection to the message of Christmas will be explored. Scripturally grounded, historically educational, and personally warm and engaging, All the Good not only reminds us of the good news as we prepare for Christmas but invites us to respond to it as well,” reviews Susan Robb, former Senior Associate Minister, Highland Park UMC, author of Seven Words: Listening to Christ from the Cross.
Sign up for either a Monday afternoon OR Wednesday evening class opportunity! Rev. EvaMarie Campbell will lead the Monday class (offered online and in-person from 2 – 3 p.m., November 27 – December 18) while she will be joined by co-teacher Melanie Linsky for the Wednesday evening class (online and in-person, 6 – 7 p.m., November 29 – December 20). Student books are available for $5. Contact Alexandria Rogers for more information: alexandriarogers@bostonavenue.org, 918-699-0123.
