At Boston Avenue Weekday School, our mission has always been to provide a loving, faith-inspired environment where a child’s early educational and emotional needs are nurtured every single day. Since 1965, the school has grown from a small Mother’s Day out program to a licensed, 3-Star center, accepting children 3 months – PreK (and school-age in the summer). As our school family continues to grow, we are thrilled to announce major enhancements designed to better serve our children and offer greater flexibility for our busy families!

Beginning Monday, August 31, the start of the fall semester, we are expanding our school hours and introducing some new enrichment opportunities into our daily curriculum. To help support working parents and give our students more time to play, learn, and grow, our new operating hours will be: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. As part of the expanded hours, snacks and lunch will be included.

We know that well-nourished minds are ready minds! As part of our daily routine, we will provide fresh, balanced, hot lunches for students. Our menus will be carefully designed to be child-friendly, nutritious, and wholesome, making mealtimes a smooth, joyful, and community-building experience for everyone.

We believe in fostering the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Integrated directly into our curriculum and activities, students will enjoy hands-on enrichment programs, including Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) – to build early cognitive skills, cultural appreciation, and expressive communication; music classes – filled with rhythm, song, and movement; and Chapel – to offer insightful age-level first lessons on faith formation. In addition, families may enroll in on-site soccer and dance classes (provided by and Soccer Stars and dance instructor Ms. Jasinski, respectively).

While our offerings are growing, our core foundation remains unchanged. We believe that every child deserves to learn in a safe, fun, and healthy environment through gentle guidance and hands-on discovery. We strive to build a foundation where every child knows they are loved, valued, and a uniquely made child of God.

We are so grateful for prayers and support for this important ministry! Are you interested in volunteering or in serving as a substitute? Let us know!
