Each month at The Gathering, Boston Avenue hosts a guest presenter who shares about their area of expertise. This month, The Gathering will host Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin.
Join us this Wednesday, September 20, at 11:30 a.m. in the Asbury Room to hear from Chief Franklin!
While the RSVP deadline for lunch has passed, you can still plan to attend (and are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch if you would like!)
Chief Wendell Franklin has served in law enforcement for 26 years. He began his career with the Tulsa Police Department and has worked his way up over the years, becoming the 40th Chief of Police for the TPD on February 1, 2020.

This Sunday (September 17) during the 11 AM worship service, we will present Boston Avenue third-graders with their own Bibles, which encourages children to explore scripture as part of their faith experience. We hope you'll be there for this beloved tradition!

He was the president of the seminary I attended. It will be a very good event.
Help support the teachers of Burroughs Elementary School (Boston Avenue’s Education Partner) through our ‘Apple Tree’ drive, which helps ensure that teachers have the classroom resources they need!
There are several ways you can help!:
1. Visit the Boston Avenue Burroughs Amazon Wish List at bit.ly/AppleTree23 and purchase one of the requested items.
2. Pick an “Apple” from the Burroughs Apple Tree in Bishops' Hall, purchase the item on the Apple and return the item with the Apple before the end of September.
3. Write a check to Boston Avenue, which will be used to purchase classroom supplies (mark the check “Burroughs Elementary School”, or give digitally via the Boston Avenue app or giving page (select ‘Burroughs Elementary’ under the funds option)
Every donation makes a huge difference for teachers who are facing unprecedented challenges!
