Rev. David Wiggs
The Rev. David Wiggs has been Senior Minister at Boston Avenue since June 2013. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, he holds a Master of Theology from St. Paul Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
Rev. Wiggs previously served as an associate minister at Boston Avenue from 1987 until 2000. He was then appointed Senior Minister at First United Methodist Church in Enid, then Superintendent of the Stillwater District, before being reappointed to Boston Avenue.
Rev. EvaMarie Campbell
Associate Minister and Director of Lifelong Faith Formation
EvaMarie is an ordained Deacon of The United Methodist Church. EvaMarie joined the ministerial staff of Boston Avenue Church in 1991.
EvaMarie holds a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology and a Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma City University. Currently EvaMarie serves as the Director of our Lifelong Faith Formation Team and the Adult Faith Formation minister and United Women in Faith staff liaison. EvaMarie enjoys playing the clarinet, reading and traveling.
Rev. Betsy Stewart-Dooley
Associate Pastor of Congregational Care and 13th Street Worship
Betsy Stewart-Dooley is a commissioned provisional elder. She is a graduate from St. Paul’s School of Theology with her M.Div.
She has a B.A. in Missiology and a B.A. in Mass Communications: TV Productions from Ouachita Baptist University. She came to Methodism later in life when she found her calling reborn through the ministry of Seminole First UMC. She is a passionate about caring for others and ensuring the dignity of all God’s people. Betsy is 5th generation Oklahoman; the descendant of both white settlers and Chickasaw family who walked the Trail of Tears. She is a proud citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. Betsy is married to Alex Dooley, and together they have a toddler daughter and two dogs, Ivy and Nita`.
Evan Anderson joined the Boston Avenue staff in 2023. Previously, he was employed as Associate Director of Music at Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Evan graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Sacred Music in 2019 from St Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Evan loves making the pipe organ come alive with its myriad colors and dynamics.
Director of Youth Ministries
Keith Bethell joined the Boston Avenue staff in 2023, following ten years of full-time ministry shared between The Bahamas and in Oklahoma.
He graduated from Oklahoma City University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion-Youth Ministry and is currently pursuing a Master of Theological Studies at Phillips Seminary. Keith serves as our Director of Youth Ministries, overseeing middle school and high school faith formation. Outside of work, Keith spends his time doing visual art and following motorsports.
Teresa Bond-Mason joined Boston Avenue as the Ambassador earlier this year after serving as the Life Enrichment Coordinator at Montereau.
A graduate of The University of Tulsa, Teresa has a degree in communication. In her spare time, Teresa loves to travel with her husband, Giles, read, scrapbook and her most recent hobby, watercolor painting.
Pastoral Care Assistant
Evelyn Caruso joined the Boston Avenue staff in August 2022 as the Front Desk Ambassador; in October 2022 she became Pastoral Care Assistant, working with the minister of pastoral care and assisting with funeral service coordination.
Evelyn obtained her associate degree in urban studies from Elim Bible College in Lima, NY. Prior to coming to Boston Avenue, Evelyn worked at a number of non-profit organizations, including All Souls Unitarian Church as their Assistant to Ministers. Drawing on her favorite scripture (Psalm 103:8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love), Evelyn loves serving and helping our members and everyone that comes to Boston Avenue. Outside of Boston Avenue, Evelyn enjoys Reading, Painting (folk art), Baking, Cooking, and building things.
Welcoming Director & Assistant to Senior Pastor
Belynda Clanton joined the Boston Avenue staff in June 2015, following her career in secondary education and non-profit work.
She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a BA in Psychology and Sociology and is a member of Leadership Tulsa Class 49. Belynda serves as the Welcoming Director and Assistant to the Senior Pastor. It is a blessing to be a part of the mission and ministry of Boston Avenue UMC. Philippians 4:13
Caitlin Dryke joined the Boston Avenue staff as the Director of Communications in February 2018, after previously serving as the Communications and Volunteer Manager at a local nonprofit serving at-risk children and youth.
Caitlin moved to Tulsa from Colorado to attend the University of Tulsa where she earned a degree in Sociology and Women’s studies (and a minor in business). When not working, she enjoys reading, yoga, thrift shopping for vintage and funky fashions, gardening, and spending time with her spouse and furrbabies. A “recovering Catholic” who unchurched for most of a decade, Caitlin is passionate about church fresh expressions, generational differences in faith practices, and reasoned and nuanced approaches to theology.
Cliff Duncan joined the Boston Avenue staff in July 2014. As Director of Facilities, Cliff works with Boston Avenue’s Building Committee, and oversees the custodian team.
His goal is to ensure that our historic space is set up for current ministry, and maintained for generations to come. Says Cliff, “it’s an honor to work with this staff and at this amazing building.”

Director of Weekday School & Younger Children
Paula Gradney-Garner first joined the staff as a Weekday School teacher from 1990-1996 and 2002-2006, then as a clergy assistant from 2006-2013.
Since 2013, she has served on the directors team, and now leads the Weekday School and Younger Children’s ministries (Birth – 2 years old). Paula earned a BS in Management and Human Services, and MBA from University of Phoenix Tulsa Campus; and holds a Special Needs certification, UM certification in Christian Education and Children’s Ministry from Perkins School of Theology; and in early education, a CDA credential, Master Teacher, and Certificate of Mastery. Paula enjoys traveling with her high school sweetheart, Rodney; spending time with family and friends; going to the movies; reading; cooking; and learning new things!
Jose Luis Hernandez
Director of Sistema Tulsa
Jose Luis Hernandez is an educator and musician generating opportunities to help people prosper. He joined the Boston Avenue staff in October of 2014 to develop Sistema Tulsa.
Sistema Tulsa is a social change through music education program of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in concert with community partners. He is an alumnus of Texas Christian University (B.M.) and the University of Texas Pan-American (M.M.) He completed professional programs in educational leadership at the New England Conservatory (Abreu Fellow) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Leading Change in Education Systems). He serves on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Arts Institute and the Barton-Clinton-Gordey Committee at Boston Avenue church. His musical recording credits include “Piano Devotions: Hymns and Sacred Songs in Classical Settings” on Albany Records.
Blaire Hines joined the Boston Avenue staff in November, 2013. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BS in Biochemistry.
Blaire maintains our membership records and assists with our missions and welcoming ministries as well as 13th Street Worship services. She enjoys participating in the music ministries as a percussionist and member of the Boston Avenue Festival Ringers.
Lisa Hines first joined the Boston Avenue staff in February 2015 as the Assistant to the Senior Pastor and Associate Minister of Missions, working closely with the COMPassion ministry.
After serving for one year, she went on to pastor three other United Methodist Churches before stepping out of the pulpit and back into the pew in 2020. She rejoined the Boston Avenue Church staff in September 2021 as an Accounting Specialist, drawing on her previous experience working in accounting and church finance and administration before becoming a pastor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Church Administration and Leadership from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology. Lisa loves spending time with her family, gardening, and reading.
Sistema Main Hub Coordinator & Young Adults and College Coordinator
Lenox Johnson joined the Boston Avenue staff in August of 2023. She has a dule role as the Main Hub Coordinator at Sistema Tulsa as well as the Young Adults and College Coordinator for the Faith Formations team.
She has a Bachelors in student ministry from Ozark Christian College and is planning to finish out her Masters of Divinity at Phillips Theological Seminary. In her freetime, Lenox enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, supporting her beloved Denver Broncos, listening to podcasts, reading books and keeping up with current events.
Director of Music
Joel Panciera joined the Boston Avenue staff as Music Director in January 2000. He conducts the Chancel & Chapel Choirs, Camerata, and manages our large music program.
Before moving to Tulsa, Panciera served Bethany College (Lindsborg, KS) as their Director of Choral Activities and the Director of the 320-voice Bethany College Oratorio Society. He has studied at University of Oklahoma (Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting), Cambridge University (Performance Practice), Westminster Choir College (Master of Music in Choral Conducting), and Oberlin Conservatory (Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance). In his free time, Joel enjoys reading and hanging out with his family.
Sistema Tulsa Administrative Coordinator
Zahria Pulliam joined the Boston Avenue Staff as the Administrative Coordinator for Sistema Tulsa in July of 2022. She has a BBA in Management Information Systems from Prairie View A&M University.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and listening to true crime podcasts.
Director of Financial Services
She has prior experience primarily in the healthcare industry.
Faith Formation Specialist
Alexandria Rogers joined the Boston Avenue staff in August, 2021. She has an AS in Agricultural Plant Science. Alexandria serves as the Faith Formation Specialist.
In this role, she is responsible for assisting in Youth and Adult Ministry publicity and communications, and assisting in the coordination of Youth and Adult events and weekly activities. Outside of work she loves exploring new places and trying new foods.
Sistema Tulsa Director of Education
Kelsey Rooney-Dorst joined Sistema Tulsa in August 2015, and officially joined the church staff in August 2017. She has a BME in Music Education from the University of Tulsa.
She also has a MS in Curriculum and Leadership Studies from Oklahoma State University, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Boston University, pursuing a DMA in Music Education. Kelsey is the Director of Education for Sistema Tulsa, and works with educators and students all around the Tulsa area. She grew up in Texas, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Oklahoma. In her (extreme abundance of) free time, Kelsey and her husband have two beautiful children and two pups to keep up with.
Sistema Tulsa Satellite Coordinator
Bekah currently serves as the liaison between the Sistema hub main location and our elementary school satellite locations. Bekah enjoys playing trumpet with her husband Eric, spending time with friends and family, and taking naps.
Music & Worship Assistant and Church Webmaster
Ann White joined the church staff in March, 1998. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree Summa Cum Laude in Elementary Education from Baker University in Kansas.
Ann is responsible for worship and funeral bulletins, support work for the Music Department, and maintaining our church website. Her outside interests include forest bathing, sleeping, and catching up on the latest antics of some of her hippo and panda friends on social media.
Children’s Ministries Director
Hope Wiggs joined the staff in August 2021. Hope holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma City University and an M.Ed from Vanderbilt University. She previously worked as an early childhood and elementary education teacher.
Hope is a member of the Lifelong Faith Formation Team and is responsible for children’s programming for children ages 3 years old – 5th grade as the Director of Children’s Ministries. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and hiking with her dog.
For over twenty years Brice has enjoyed his role in maintaining Tulsa’s iconic skyline and improving its buildings’ HVAC comfort and efficiency.
