Come See Annie!
Tulsa Theatre Works invites you to join us for our summer production of Annie! This beloved musical is filled with laughter, unforgettable songs, and a timeless story of hope, resilience, and the power of family.
When you purchase a ticket, you’re doing more than enjoying a great evening of theatre. Every ticket sold helps support Tulsa Theatre Works’ mission of providing free, high-quality theatre education to students throughout the year. Through our classes, productions, and school-based programs, Tulsa Theatre Works has served more than 400 students this year alone. Twenty-five of those students are part of this production, performing on stage, serving on the technical crew, and playing in the orchestra pit. Your support helps make it possible for hundreds more young people to discover their creative potential through the performing arts.
Our annual summer production is a special tradition that brings generations together, with students working alongside local professional artists, mentors and adults from our community. We’d love for our church family to come celebrate these incredible performers, musicians, and crew members while investing in the future of arts education in our community.
Jeffrey Fox says, “Every TTW show is special! This year it has been exciting to watch our rotating ‘orphans’ learn their parts side-by-side. They look and sound amazing when they dance and sing with confidence, and both casts bring their own charm. And it is always a blessing to combine actors and musicians from Boston Avenue with talented performers and crew members from the community. It gives this production of Annie a unique flavor.”
Additionally, Rob Reck mentions “the cast and production team are all raving about the live music provided by the `14 piece orchestra. So many productions in Tulsa, including some really excellent performances, are done with canned music. Live music makes a difference. (BAUMC Members in the pit included Frieda Reck, Trumpet, Todd and Owen Wall – Trombones, as well as some of our Sistema family).”
He points out that “I am also proud to have so many people involved in our Alternative Worship Ministry also sharing their talents in this show. Alternative Worship band members Will Duncan, Kira Benton-Duncan, Wesley Rice, Kira Cox-Rice are all lighting up the stage. BAUMC members Jeff Fox, and Mary Womble are also involved.”
Gather your Sunday School class, invite your friends and family, and join us for this heartwarming classic. We can’t wait to see you there!
You can attend the remaining performances July 31 – August 2 in Community Hall. Tickets are available at Bit.ly/TTWAnnie.
