Lent & Easter (Inactive Page)

Ash Wednesday Services

Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 12:05 and 6:30 p.m.
This 40-day period of Lent begins within our faith community. Through text and music, each service focuses on the light of God's redeeming love in Jesus Christ. The use of ashes is as a sign of mortality and penance, and the imposition of ashes on our foreheads is a powerful nonverbal way of participating in the call to repentance and reconciliation.

Both worship services reenact the triumphal entry that Jesus experienced in Jerusalem by our children's choirs processing with palm branches. We sing songs of joy and offer prayers of confession as we experience Christ's passion story.
