Lent & Easter
Ash Wednesday Services
Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 12:05 and 6:30 p.m.
This 40-day period of Lent begins within our faith community. Through text and music, each service focuses on the light of God's redeeming love in Jesus Christ. The use of ashes is as a sign of mortality and penance, and the imposition of ashes on our foreheads is a powerful nonverbal way of participating in the call to repentance and reconciliation. Palm/Passion Sunday Services
Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 8:30 & 11:00 a.m.
Both worship services reenact the triumphal entry that Jesus experienced in Jerusalem by our children's choirs processing with palm branches. We sing songs of joy and offer prayers of confession as we experience Christ's passion story.
Holy Thursday Service
Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
Observe our Lord's Last Supper in this poignant service with anthems by the Chancel Choir and a sermon by one of our associate ministers.
Good Friday Service
Friday, March 30, 2018 at 12:05 p.m.
Listen to the story of Jesus' passion through meditations and scripture readings, mixed with hymns and anthems in Great Hall. The orchestra, singers, and readers combine to make this a meaningful worship experience.
