Christmas Eve Services

Service of the Bells

Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
A service with young families in mind. Led by our preschool and elementary children, this service features children reading scripture, singing, enacting the Christmas Story, serving Holy Communion, ringing handbells, and reading the birth narrative of Jesus. All who attend are given bells to ring-in Christmas! A delightful service for families with children of all ages.

Candlelight Worship Services

Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.
Two nearly-identical services enable everyone to experience the wonder and beauty of this special night. The story of Christ’s birth is told through carols, scripture readings, a choice of anthems by the Chancel Choir at 4 p.m. or a more contemporary style of music at 6 p.m., live nativity tableau, and a sermon by our Senior Minister, Rev. David Wiggs. The 4 p.m. service will also be interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Candlelight Communion Service

Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 11:00 p.m.
Observe Holy Communion in a beautiful candlelight setting with anthems by the Chapel Choir and Alumni and a sermon by one of our associate ministers. This service ends at midnight, just as Christmas Day begins.
