At Boston Avenue we strive to make everyone feel welcome and nurished by their presence. As part of this effort, we provide respite care for parents with handicapped children as well as worship opportunities and accessibilities features and services for the hearing, sight, and physically impaired.
Large print worship bulletins are available for the visually impaired every Sunday. Closed captioning is also available for the 11:00 television broadcast on Channel 8 every Sunday.
The Ephphatha Class for hearing impaired adults meets every Sunday in the Oxford Room, and a sign language interpreter signs the 11:00 worship service once a month. Deaf Fellowship meets once a month on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.

BA Respite Care
The Respite Care program began years ago as a support group for parents with handicapping conditions. One of the parents commented that her greatest need was just to have an occasional break from the 24-hour, 7-day-a-week care of her special-needs child.
Repite Care typically meets two Friday evenings a month from 6 to 11 p.m. to give parents a "night off." Special-needs children and their siblings are entertained and cared for by professional caregivers and church volunteers so that parents have time to go to dinner and a movie, take care of needed chores, or simply relax in a hot bath. The children have a great time!

Ephphatha Sunday School Class
for the Hearing Impaired
Ephphatha Class is our adult Sunday school class composed of hearing-impaired adults, with the Bible taught through sign language. The class also meets for fellowship opportunities and missions.
