Religion and Race

The Religion and Race Committee works to eliminate racial tension in Tulsa by participating in and sponsoring events that celebrate diversity and encourage thoughtful and respectful dialogue, discussion, and action. In addition to citywide events that honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Tulsa’s own Dr. John Hope Franklin, the committee hosts annual events such as ‘Movies Worth Talking About’ and the Coming Home Diversity Vesper service. Contact Rev. Sara Pugh Montgomery at 918.699.0127 for more information.

The Tulsa MLK parade is the second largest in the nation and Boston Avenue has been a part since the beginning!
