B.A.101 is a four-week class designed for prospective and new church members, or for anyone wanting to learn more about the Christian faith, United Methodism, and Boston Avenue Church.
This class meets twice a year during the Sunday School hour and uses videos and discussion based on the curriculum, "What Does It Mean to be United Methodist?" to teach our Wesleyan heritage, John Wesley's theology, and the fundamental Christian beliefs that define our Methodist faith. The last session is devoted to Boston Avenue Church - its staff, finances, building, organizational structure, and opportunities for everyone to serve.
Each session includes opportunities to ask questions and a fellowship time so that participants can get to know each other.
The next session of B.A. 101 classes is set for May 2009.

Circuit Riders Sculptures
Above the south entrance are the equestrian Circuit Riders, statues of the early Methodists engaged in spreading the Good Word. Two of the three riders represent historic individuals, Francis Asbury, the first American Methodist Bishop, and William McKendrie, the first American-born Bishop, while the third figure in the center is symbolic of all the other men of God who did His bidding from horseback.
